Professional Summary

A brief summary of my experience and current research

Experience

My experience as geoscientist is based on geological-geophysical integration and scientific programming, applied to study oceanic basins, ocean-continent transition and their adjacent orogenic belts, and Paleozoic basin evolution.

In the industry, I worked for petroleum exploration on sedimentary basins at Petrobras, with gravity and magnetic modelling for seismic interpretation and integration with well data. I have been working with Oasis Montaj™ software since 2004, with data evaluation, levelling, processing, interpretation, and modelling.

In June 2021, I started as Postdoctoral researcher at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ). At the same time, facing all issues related to handle large geoscientific databases and adequate web scientific dissemination, I have started as undergraduate student of Data Science at Virtual University of the State of São Paulo in July 2021.

Recently, I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experience as a geoscientist in a new field—university teaching. While teaching Applied Geophysics at the University of São Paulo (USP), I was able to share my passion for geological-geophysical integration and scientific programming with a new generation of students.

Current research

My current postdoctoral research includes regional multi-methods geophysics and scientific programming for geophysical processing and data sciences. The main study area is the Southern Santos Basin and surroundings, in the aim of reveal inherited mantle segments under SE South America and Parana-Etendeka LIP.

Regarding works in academic groups, I have been working on crustal and lithopsheric aspects of the Brazilian continental margins (Brazilian Navy, DHN), Precambrian inheritance along orogenic belts (Tektos Group and GeoAtlantico Institute), Amazon Basin mantle (LPGA-UFPR and GeoAtlantico Institute), hydrogeophysics for groundwater dynamics (Geological Survey of Brazil, SGB-CPRM), educational resources and undergraduate mentoring (LPGA-UFPR).
